Nice choice Jay!

I think it's great tbh.  I have an offshore, 42mm variant. However, I see the resemblance of the AP concept here.
What's the clasp like? Even though large, it looks like it'd be comfortable.  Possibly more than the AP as mine tends to
give me crown callous, but I just let it go because I love the watch haha. Anyhow, good buy!

Wild Horologists & Team - A big itched scratched

So, I think many will have strong views about this watch. So don’t be shy in sharing them. This is one of several Kickstarter watches I’ve followed and one of a few I actually purchased. The timing for its release was an important factor as I had been wan...

It's big. It's pretty cool.

I don't think it's trying to personify an Audemars Piguet at all. It has its own design. Yes, it does have an octagonal bezel. But if we said every octagonal bezel watch was hanging off Audemars Piguet's coat tails, then that'd basically mean anything wit...

I agree Patrick.

But I do think that they readily acknowledged where the design inspiration came from. And that’s fine. For certain, with a different name on the dial this would get a lot more attention.

Look at the case profile, it's not necessarily very Royal Oak of a case profile. The bezel is somewhat Royal Oak, but very little else is Royal Oak.

I don't think it's overly copied. If you took the bezel off this watch, you wouldn't find much else to be too similar to the Royal Oak. Even the bezel is a actually quite different; it's flat, rounded, flat, rounded, flat, and rounded on the outer circumf...

AP

Yep Patrick. It is an AP RO inspired watch. I look after a RO Offshore diver. What a really want to find is a version of the chronograph inspired. Steel black or carbon black, it depends, but the black steel of another composite material for the basel. Wh...

I’ve had it since last fall and I have worn it a reasonable amount (pre lockdown).

It was a relatively inexpensive watch via the Kickstarter campaign and so it’s not something one has to worry too much about. When you are running around with a little kid this is a important factor...I am sure not wearing a Resonance !

100%.

And that joy can come in all shapes and sizes and all price points. The simple instinctual feeling of satisfaction that comes before you start thinking about desirability/ collectibility/rarity etc is a great barometer for choosing watches. And it rarely ...

An impressive Project and Watch

I was also made aware of this Watch through a publication and started researching as much as possible. Finally the all Steel version is on my wrist. I have been collecting for three decades now, and been through every one of the big names, and certainly e...

We are in similar stages of collecting.

And sounds like have both seen a few watches during that time. Glad to hear you are enjoying yours also. Do you have direct contact with the team behind the watch? I wonder what their perspective has been of the project. It would be an interesting story t...

Almost mistook it for the Zenith shown on Patrick_Y's post.

Sorry if I offended any Zenith fans.

I like the watch.

Sure with a reminiscence to some other design but still with a strong identity on its own. Despite the size you wear it well!

I think the black / PVD is important in the visual of the watch on the wrist.

For similar reasons I chose PVD for my Urwerk.

Nice choice Jay!

It’s on a standard type tang buckle. Which I prefer versus a deployant on most watches.

It is comfortable on the wrist. The rubber strap allows you to get a pretty snug fit on the wrist.
