This is the plate for Foudroyante. It was attached on the box of the watch but the skin of the box was peeled off because the use of environmental materials. I think a lot of watch boxes use this kind of materials. But I don't understand why watch compani...

GP is a particular offender in this aspect. I am sure your artisan (?) will do a great job. I always wanted a personalised box, made to my requirements. Personally, I value manufacturers who sell watches in diminutive but high quality boxes (Kari I believ...

Who really needs or uses a presentation box after the first hour and the last hour?

I like the “spare compartment” inside with the spare parts. It’s this attention to detail and thoughtfulness on the part of the Habrings that make me respect them

I know this is not always the case but I understand that in some instances the packaging the watch comes in

costs more than the movement used in the watch, sometimes more than the entire watch. I for one do not need a big fancy box or elaborate packaging when buying a watch. I wear the watch, not the packaging The only boxes I saved from watch purchases are the...

There is absolutely no need for such large boxes

Everyone really should think about the environment and future. Those expensive wooden boxes are completely unnecessary. A small pouch (leather perhaps) should be sufficient.

My preference is for the "coffin type" box that came with the Grand Seiko SBGR095

Sturdy enough to protect the watch from damage during transport/shipping and not have it flying around collecting dings and scratches before you even receive it (I doubt a pouch will do that) but is still small and slim enough to not take up too much spac...
