My nephews

Jul 27, 2021,10:22 AM

The boys of my brother will get my watches.
I hope they will get the watch virus, and start collecting watches.
Now i am only the lonely with my passion.

Even smart watches they do not wear.

From who i get the passion is a bit my family.
It’s from friends of my parents.
When i was little, presents gifted.
I like to get compact cassettes for recording music.
A gifted watch was always fine.

I never collected coins and medals.
I was always attracted to the clock.
The sound when a hour strikes. The key hole to wind the clock. The numbers on it and the hands took different positions. 12 o’clock was exiting. Midnight.
The church clock had roman numbers and was lighted at night, a mysterious look.

Or, somber thoughts at 04:00. In the event your demise, do you have instructions for how to dispose of your collection? I have recommended my wife either gift some or all of them to relatives or take them to our local AD. Based on their value the AD will ...

They will be sold with the money going to a charity that I have chosen.

GREAT PLAN 👍

What if you trip and accidentally put a wooden stake through your heart?

My core collection is only 3 watches

 By: VinnieD : July 27th, 2021-10:28
and I have 3 daughters. That is why I am happy collecting smallish watches : so that my daughters could enjoy the watches themselves before finding the right partner and gifting "their" watch to them I really appreciate the possibility to pass it down to ...

As my health is failing this has become an current issue for me

My solution is simple I am now selling my small collection whilst I still can so as to achieve a fair price for the watches I have and to leave cash assets only so as to minimise potential losses. Having the watches whilst only going out two to three time...

No instructions, but I have a list of the pertinent information

attached to our will so my wife knows what they are worth. We have talked about it occasionally, since everyone in my family is somewhat interested in watches but not to the extreme degree that I am, she will give a few pieces to my children, keep what sh...

I have written my watches into a living will, alongside the rest of my possessions

I have three children, and three boxes containing ten watches each. Each box is labelled, so the assignment is simple (I bequeath Box A to.... etc.). Let us hope it doesn't come to that and I am in a position to share the contents with them in person. The...

She's instructed to throw them on my funeral pyre!

Obviously she can and should go ahead and live her life after I'm gone, but my true loves die with me.

As much as I'm generally well organized and tend to plan many things with attention, this is a thought that, quite frankly, has never crossed my mind yet -- at all! ;-)

So should something suddenly happen to me 80 years ahead of time, I guess I'll be sorry for my father who'll need to mix up his Casio-only collection with a few other brands...;-)) Or I should probably count on my PhD-toting, beautiful girlfriend of five ...

Your post made me think hard about life, and how short and fragile it is actually. Back in the 1950's, the life expectancy for men, in countries like Italy and UK, were hovering around 65 years old (Source: OurWorldinData). Nowadays, due to better lifesty...
