My biggest gripe these days is illegible dials

that are impossible to read the time due to the skeleton dial or small hands or same colour hands as dial etc. For me it's a design flaw. Especially since I now need reading glasses for small print. Nowadays im just looking at buying watches where I can tell time.
More and more new watches seem to be designed where the look is more important than telling the time. I think this is ok for special limited editions but for standard production models I'm not so sure.
I do have a tag heuer 01 black and hublot all black and I got many years ago which are guilty of the gripe I mentioned but it's fine in daylight and terrible after dark.
But I don't have stats but why are so many now designed like this? Maybe there is something in those crazy to get steel sports or tool watches from Rolex etc which is one of the reasons why they're in demand!
