The sound a watch makes is rarely talked about in reviews, save for bezels on dive watches and the chimes on minute repeaters. Despite this, I think it's something every collector notices. All my quartz watches are very quiet, as well as my Seiko 7002. I ...

Honestly, I don't think I have any

I can hear unless I put up right next to my ear.

Very interesting

Perhaps my watches are just abnormally loud šŸ˜‚

My Gronefeld remontoire is very loud

I need to adjust the volume of my radio in my car to listen to the music. Sometimes i turn the radio off to listen to the 1941 šŸ˜œ

Very cool!

Is it just the action of the escapement that is loud, or can you hear the remontoire working as well?

Venus movement is quite loud and the old style thin case doesn't dampen the sound.

Very cool watch

My wife gets crazy when this ā€žmonsterā€œ is lying in the bedroom. Once I had to take this watch out of the hotel safe, wrap it in towels and hide it under the pillows of the couch in our hotel room because my wife heard it and couldnā€™t sleep. TIK-TAK-TIK-TA...

Wow! Now I want to hear one of these live

MONSTER. šŸ˜Ž

we have a winner, had this too and I can agree, you won't find something that ticks louder

loved it and kept it 7 years but finally let it go because of the size

I can understand you.

However, until now I haven't had the heart to sell this watch. I don't wear it often because it's really almost unwearable. However, I found a style for myself that works for me. The ā€œFlavio Briatore styleā€. šŸ˜Š Cheers Thomas ...

This 45-year old watch is quite loud!

You can hear it ticking from a distance. It's quartz, though. ...

Absolutely love megaquartz!

All types of watches are allowed in this little survey. I would also nominate my uncleā€™s timex expedition. Itā€™s an unassuming little watch, but has quite a voice

I would listen to mine..

Were it still working.

I also generally prefer quieter watches

It can be a distraction when trying to do work.

That unitas movement is a loud one for sure. Nice slow beat rate as well.

My Moritz Grossmann central seconds has very audible ticking

Which I love! Reminds me of pocket watches. I can hear it just sitting on my wrist without bringing it to my ear.
