Looking at the number of klicks you got

I am not the only one that thought it was an interesting question. Me being a rookie when it comes to horology took the opportunity to study closely what some of the people I have been following more closely wrote. I might even change my answer next time I see this question!

If you had to add a watch to your collection (with your personal budget) in under 5 seconds... what would it be?

 By: Mostel : January 17th, 2021-18:15
YOU know the one on your mind all week, all month?! Last couple months?? Or just hit you like a lightning rod this afternoon? No thinking allowed! Me... Rolex Datejust 41 black oyster with fluted dial. OR.... Glashutte Senator Chronometer LE 25, WG... hey...

Aperna, What a stunning choice

 By: Mostel : January 17th, 2021-19:18
Something out of my 5 second consciousness, but how can I disagree!!!!

MDG, Classic and beautiful

 By: Mostel : January 17th, 2021-19:19
Not my 'orbit' but I certainly appreciate this watch! And how can I say no in 5 seconds!!!

 By: Mostel : January 17th, 2021-19:20
This is a classically beautiful choice and one I can not argue with--in 5 seconds!

I love Cartier Santos.So classic!!!

 By: Mostel : January 17th, 2021-19:21
I can not argue in 5 seconds!!

Both of which are existing models that I wish to customize a tad to make it perfect me.

Thanks for your comment

Habring2 Erwin

 By: Lankysudanese : January 17th, 2021-20:37

I like the Erwin a lot Lanky

 By: Mostel : January 27th, 2021-16:32
The Erwin is wonderfully modern and minimalist--I am a huge fan of minimalism.

 By: Gelato Monster : January 18th, 2021-00:44

Current production, not vintage? . . .

 By: Dr No : January 17th, 2021-21:23
. . . Dornblüth 2010, cased in steel, would be my snap call. Just outside my comfort zone financially, but do-able. Honestly, though, if I were to get any four-figure (or low five-figure) watch this year, chances are good it'll be a vintage Omega. I have ...

Oooooh...you killed it with that snap call!

 By: Lankysudanese : January 17th, 2021-23:16

New, Vintage, anything...Art

 By: Mostel : January 27th, 2021-16:34
These choices are very YOU... and that is the fun of knowing each other as collectors, Art. I always enjoy your posts and views... I love Dornbluth and vintage Omega.

Omega Globemaster on bracelet with blue dial

I am thinking about adding it seriously to my collection, I love the dimensions and the tungsten fluted bezel ...

The speedmaster 321

 By: @lberti : January 17th, 2021-23:05

First thought: none. I don't want to take wrist time from what I already have.

 By: mkvc : January 17th, 2021-23:16
Second thought: if a really nice Omega with a waffle dial and a 491 movement came my way, I would be tempted and it would be within budget.

Agh, that will be a tough one nafet

 By: Mostel : January 27th, 2021-16:35
But worth waiting for. A fun chrono for sure and a big one.

Here is one a bit more attainable...

 By: Mostel : January 27th, 2021-16:37
I always enjoy your down to earth classic choices, Nicolas.. and find them a bit surprising... but a stunning modern Rolex is irresistible.. guilty!!

I love that meteorite.

 By: Mostel : January 28th, 2021-15:57
No argument here.

Rolex has that seductive touch

 By: Mostel : January 31st, 2021-20:55
The sum is greater than its parts, as they say. That $ could certainly be committed to an independent or a piece far more horologically personal, meaningful ( you might say) but... well... The Rolex holds its spell...

Vinnie...

 By: Mostel : January 27th, 2021-16:38
A very select and divine choice

I think so too!

That's a stunning watch.

Great taste, as always.

Thanks my friend!

 By: sham1 : January 18th, 2021-01:55
The only thing stopping me is my watch diet!

😁 🥂

 By: Gelato Monster : January 18th, 2021-04:08

But diet or no diet

 By: sham1 : January 24th, 2021-18:18

ROFL!

keep your horodiet healthy sham1, maybe its time for you to buy more independents

 By: Gelato Monster : January 26th, 2021-18:49
It is less advertising and distribution/dealer fat, better for heart. PP is independent .

ROTFL 🤣🤣🤣

 By: Gelato Monster : January 27th, 2021-18:22
Feels like giant 🏟 stadium

Been thinking about this for a while, and then thinking even more when I saw this dial.

 By: Jay (Eire) : January 18th, 2021-06:07
I had hoped to see the watch in person last year but all trips were cancelled. And it now looks unlikely (to me) that I will be in Japan this year either.

I would not nornally do this!

 By: sham1 : January 18th, 2021-15:43
But I would be willing to order this watch without even trying it on. For a start the dimensions are great for both you and me. The finishing of the case, hands and numerals are among the best around. My qualms would be as follows - is the bezel too wide ...

Super tight watch

 By: Mostel : January 27th, 2021-16:26
Obviously VERY Patek influenced, but verrrrry nice

A tribute to the Patek 96

 By: sham1 : January 27th, 2021-22:18
but arguably better finished.

Aha, Sham

 By: Mostel : January 28th, 2021-15:55
I am intrigued no doubt.

With my budget I would need at least one month to come out with a new watch to add to my collection!

 By: Mary Anny : January 18th, 2021-00:20
I'll keep saving money to buy watches for my "women"... Next one will be a Tudor for sure, perhaps a Royal!!!! A dive Doxa might also be a target, but not for me! ...

Nothing, I don't want another watch right now

 By: NickO : January 18th, 2021-09:33
2020 was such a profound year for me, and it wasn't just COVID, that I've walked away with a deep appreciation for what I have and practically no desire to add anything new. If was the first year in 17 years that I did not buy a new watch and I don't see ...

Two. I see ... two at the same time ...

Anything Lange and Heyne is a good 5 seconds spent, chuckle...and the Zeitwork, while not my taste, is something I very much admire technically!!

That’s easy.
