I just got an email from a very well-known and respected pre-owned dealer here in the U.S.
They want $22500 for a Batman; and $13500 for a YG Breguet Marine Big Date. Both are complete. I think the world has gone completely mad.
Rolex buyers have gone mad!
Honestly if people all said NO and stopped buying for 1 month. These crazy dealers and grey market would have to drop prices.... customers are paying so not much can be done

Not surprising.
Like the Daytona and Nautilus, it has become a status symbol watch. It’s a lovely watch, but once the pricing gets to this level, the satisfaction becomes more about having the connections to get to the front of the line or the resources to skip the line....

That's the unfortunate situation today,
where 'market forces ' seems to drive prices. However,if i were to be allowed to be politically incorrect,that's shallowness of personal psyche that drives that drives this. Sure,you'll have the wherewithal,but there's a point where it becomes ridiculous....
