It would be interesting to see global brands too in order to be able to compare Seiko, Grand Seiko, GO, ALS, etc.
Perhaps mechanical vs smartwatch by brand would also be interesting (to see graphically what's eating the bottom segment of the market).
I'm sure people can come up with other brands they don't see.
As for me, with the vast range of watches, I'm slightly surprised not to see Hamilton at all (I'm assuming they fall into "Other").
On the other hand I have always wondered if Hamiltons wide variety of offerings are simply too many, although I'm a fan of the brand.

I feel like I see more Seiko and Grand Seiko advertisements (or reviews) compared to several years ago, so that must be making an impact.
Thanks for a typically informative piece by Sjx...too bad these 2019 figures are already obsolete😉I hope the (reasonable) prediction of 30+ Swiss brands out of business won’t materialize..
Alas, the report we’ll see in a year from now will be very different, at any level...I guess the next couple of months will be crucial to determine the future of several brands😉 Cheers.
