A good question. I will do the same when i get a Rolex. I am a typical leather strap guy, and i have no clue with bracelets. My solution is to put a leather strap on a Rolex, and when i decide to sell the Rolex, put the original bracelet back on the watch... 

I guess I will know for sure when someone with the same reference model share his/her new datejust.
