It's an old trick of the trade. It's why they say, "never sell to the highest liar" to selling to dealers. Not to say that they all operate the same way but I've heard these stories plenty of times.

I agree with what others have said, try posting on here first and see what happens. Just be careful to deal with well established members. The last thing you need is to be being with a fraudulent buyer or one that will be bugging you 2 months after you've sold them the watch. Best of luck!! Oh and let's see some pics!

I would always prefer to pass on a watch to a likeminded collector. First, advertise it on this site. We have some great members that may be interested and with the bonus of no fees. If that didn’t work try Crono24.
