 By: redsubmariner : August 3rd, 2020-13:51
Hi fellow watchenthusiasts and watchlovers, here comes the latest from Moritz Grossmann in Glashütte in Germany. Moritz Grossmann introduced the Hamatic in 2018/9 as far as I recall. It took them about 2-3 years of developing this unique and rare mechanis...

Yes, I agree, it is very eyecatching. That is what I thought when I saw it for the first time. Even in the regular version. But this black dial is absolutely my cup of tea...

Me too, I love it... [nt]

I am afraid I do not know Hope you get to see this watch. I saw the rose gold version last year at this UK AD and was not impressed by the movement which looked so much better in photos. But that's just me!

Thanks for posting this information....

Lange killer

 By: Mostel : August 3rd, 2020-15:47
This movement will finally, for this manufacture, encroach upon Lange... an ultra classical ultra minimalist, ultra Teutonic ultra high end execution BUT different... I LOVE it. With that said, the dial, while fine, is boring... even if it is meant to be ...

Are you sure?

 By: redsubmariner : August 3rd, 2020-15:54
I found the white dial rather boring. This black dial especially with the vintage logo looks extremely attractive to my eyes. But, I know what you mean. And for that, Moritz Grossmann offered the opportunity to create custom and bespoke dials according to...

Very well said [nt]

I have always admired the MG watches, with the exception of their usual name/logo on the dial which just didn't look the part. This now is a very welcome change and improvement to the overall look of the watch 👍😊

Wow

How does this watch feel on the wrist?

 By: Rcgoddu : August 4th, 2020-07:43
Can you feel the mechanism bouncing back and fourth and does it make any noise?

Not really

 By: redsubmariner : August 4th, 2020-14:44
When I had the watch on my wrist with the old dial, I wound it which was smooth, I tried to see if I can feel the hammer, but I couldnt. However, I was in a room with ten people. It would be interesting to do this again alone. I will be at the factory in ...

MG released some new versions of the backpage as well

Looks great I think! And I love that black polished piece under the hands, seems very well-finished. ...

The process of finishing this black roman dial is rather complicated and the dial is not just lacquered

 By: redsubmariner : August 5th, 2020-16:51
The process of applying the black color on the dial is a rather long and complicated lacquering process. Before applying the first layer of lacquer, the the German silver plate of the dial is mirrorpolished first. From what I know, the whole process is su...
