Breitling, under George Kern, put out a hard copy of the 21/22 catalog.

Personally, I LOVED the JLC white catalogs because they included the history of the brand. I understand getting rid of print media, but at least duplicate the historical narrative on the website! JLC has minimized their history on the website and I feel it does them a disservice.
To me, the best thing would be to create an APP that mimics what the books used to be, so that it can be updated daily/weekly/monthly with new product releases, but also allows you to see history, strap and bracelet options, etc. JLC did an app a few years ago, but didn't keep it up to date.

Well, I for one lament

the fact that most watch manufacturers have done away with print catalogs. I understand the reasoning but I do not like it. I looked forward to receiving them and really enjoyed sitting down and looking thru them, over and over ad over again. Some I would...

Absolutely!

I had a "conversation" with an rep from IWC yesterday via messaging

and she said no catalog was ready and if and when it was it would not be a hard cover "book" like they have previously done. It will most likely be paperback and much smaller. Both IWC and JLC use to put out beautiful catalogs.

Yup! I'd flip them as I went to bed...

My bed routine... Brush my teeth, gargle with mouthwash, go to bed, prop up a pillow, read some watch catalogues off my nightstand (or car catalogues), put them down, and go to sleep and dream... Now, no more dreaming materials...

Alas...

Not sure if Brands miscalculate the value of these catalogs!

Definitely with you here -- I might be getting old, but in general, the charm of reading and handling the hardcopy of a good text is incomparable to reading it off of a computer or iPhone...

In Math, with my papers I even try to specifically target the (very few) top journals that still mail you a copy of the offprints, rather than e-mailing a cheap pdf (this was my excuse to publish a few good papers in the Journal of Number Theory recently!...

As with watches, likewise car brochures

Having worked in a number of male-dominated offices and garages, no proper “men’s room” exists (in my opinion) without a few stacks of pleasantly-distracting reading material, WHICH MUST BE PRINT. No “enter password” or “sorry, source is off-line” is acce...

ISBN 978-0789213990 is the Watch Annual 2021

 By: chippyfly : January 11th, 2022-15:23
I am waiting to buy Watch Annual 2022, an US publication with many manufacturers' latest watches and their brief details with estimated prices, pictures and other articles of interest. It is great value and includes many of the Independents as well as the...

I agree. Good print catalogues are a must.

The haptics are important in this hobby. I love to consult my collection of catalogues.

Journe produces a hard cover catalog

I think it’s a 2 year catalog. I’m not sure it’s easy to get-I had to fly 3000 miles to get one.

You have to know someone. ;-)

Not only no catalogues, but brands are doing without Owners Manuals!!!

 By: patrick_y : January 12th, 2022-00:56
Many brands aren't printing owners manuals. They want buyers to register their watches on the website and download the instruction manual! They give you an extra year's worth of warranty if you do it!
