Interesting Gary.

Re Vegas, I guess AP’s and Rolex are the king of “table” watches, it makes sense to me.

Re HND, I would expect the variety you mention.  Japan seems to be one of the more sophisticated markets taking the market as a whole (and not just the niche collector / enthusiast market).

I look forward to your continued participation.

How about your pilots, what are they wearing?

Depending on pay

Flight crews vary on pay I would say. Crews that work narrow body aircrafts wear smartwatches if analog usually Citizen or Seiko. Wide body crews wear Rolex ( two tone subs, gmts,) Breitling Navitimers. I worked for some Chinese and Russian carrier's they...

Currently i’m living in Tokyo, and purposely take metro/bus sometimes just to do the same observation. A bit different to what you’ve found in HND (may be driven by the social class?), I saw only Rolex, Panerai and digital watches.

Interesting observations, Gary.

I’ve lived for many years in Germany, UK, US and parts of Asia respectively. Fly extensively, typically 60-100 flight a year. In aggregate, my observations - and apologies for any perceived broader generalizations. Just based on my experience and observat...

Agree to all of what's been said. One addition, on execs in China there's a lot of APs (compared to Europe or US), and when it comes to the really well-off, a lot of RMs. Cheers, Daniel

What great first post!

Welcome! Not surprised at all by observation regarding JFK.
