I took a look

At the pocket watch and is seems using an UG215. I do not have such a movement but I have (and had) several UG66 that has no seconds hand.
I can tell for sure that even being an office guy, and have some problems with some automatic watches, the UG never betrayed me. It keeps the charge up with minimal movements so I vote for the other fellow that says that just keeping it on you is enough. I assume the watch is in good working conditions.
My two cents

I saw the UG pocket watch advertised on the collector's market. My question is how can it have efficient winding by using a micro rotor, and how does it wind since a pocket watch does not get anywhere near the motion a wristwatch gets during the course of...

It seems to do okay at keeping itself running. Maybe increased efficiency from the 30 JEWELS contributes to it working while you are walking. It certainly won't wind if you sit all day. Cazalea ...
