Horological Meandering

It is 10:10 here in Mississippi. This is what I feel like is my collection at the moment. Missing are some watches I am trying to sell or service. What do you think? ...

Variation. I see enough variation. Every price range. From cheap to small luxury. Not money is important, but enjoying watches in general. Not conservative. Fruity peaces.

I will never be able to play in the big leagues, but it does not bother my collecting that much.

What is important is every watch lover can share it’s watch hobby at WPS. Grow. This word is on it’s place. In my situation i use grow. More important are the watches. I chose on what i like, instead of a price tag. For example, i like the Baume and Merci... 

I bought it to celebrate my promotion to full professor, so that one is a keeper!

I was told a few weeks ago, that they sold the last piece (Embassy). I even had a chat with Mr Gerber, who actually built those. Very cool piece.

What is the yellow rectangular one? I like that and seems like a fun summer time piece.

The watch was designed by Marc Newson who later worked on the Apple watch. More than a family resemblance... ...

. . . is a family heirloom. The rest with the exception of the Tudor could be housed in a Googie museum and be right at home. It's going to be hard to break them up, no? They really do belong together. Warmest, Art

Googie is definitely a Southern California way to put it. Although I think I would have to go a bit wilder in my collecting to get to that point. Best, John

it was manufactured in France in the early 70's with a Durowe automatic movement, aluminum case, and rubber strap. Designed by Roger Tallon, who was also the designer of the TGV train. ...

Can you tell us more about the blue and yellow watches on the bottom row? I always liked the MIH and the Junghans.

The blue is a Lip, made in France in the early 1970's with a Durowe movement designed by Roger Tallon, the designer of the TGV train... the yellow is an Ikepod Manatee, a worldtimer deisgned by Marc Newson, one of the collaborators on the Apple watch. ...  

That Ikepod strap, how it integrates into the case is very Apple Watch-esque! And thank you for sharing more photos about the Lip! Very cool timepieces!
