I have to try it

But for me the best is to have two BZ Vantage (2 pieces), so far I only have one. However, I think that the Swis Kubik will be a good option when going on holidays.

WatchProSite Review: The Best Watch Winder, The Swiss Kubik Watch Winder Box

 By: patrick_y : August 23rd, 2019-16:55
Watch winders have become necessities for watch collectors like us. But not all watch winders are made the same. And sometimes buying an expensive one isn’t the best solution. Some watch collectors, despite their experience, don’t realize what their watch...

I concur

I have three of them and they absolutely great. The batteries last quite a long time too. Although they are quite pricey, they are a high quality product.

Is an IWC sitting in one of them?

 By: patrick_y : August 24th, 2019-20:42
I have an IWC sitting in a Scatola Del Tempo. Fortunately this IWC isn't picky about which way it turns, so the Scatola Del Tempo (this model has to turn both CCW and CW, I can only set how many turns a day from 600, 800, 1000, 1200, 1400 increments) meet...

Superb review Patrick!

I shall definitely consider one when I buy my next winder. I currently use a Bernard Favre which has been my best ever winder.

How do you like your Bernard Favre winder?

 By: patrick_y : August 24th, 2019-20:43
How long have you had it? Is it reliable? Does it go through too many batteries? I definitely like the look of them!

Hi Patrick

 By: sham1 : August 24th, 2019-21:35
The Bernard Favre winder is a 3 dimensional winder as you know and works on a built in rechargeable battery. One charge allows the winder to work for 3 to 4 months. There are 16 different programmes to choose from so enough to cater for all watches. I hav...

Definitely very impressive!

 By: patrick_y : August 24th, 2019-21:58
Thanks for sharing the details with us! Five years is definitely a long enough time for problems to emerge. Glad that there haven't been any issues.

Thank you Patrick!

 By: sham1 : August 24th, 2019-22:38
I bought the winder for the beauty of it but I have been impressed by the rechargeable battery life and its silent operation. My dream is to buy another two for my incoming 5212A and 5711A. Placing all three together would be quite a sight to behold

I shall but that would be in 2022 Patrick

 By: sham1 : August 25th, 2019-10:13
when the 5711 finally arrives!

I am a fan of watchwinder and have BZ, Wolf and others.

My only the Swiss Kubik is that in thus day and age wouldnt it make more sense to use bluetooth versus the usb connector? Even PP uses that on it's current wonders. The other shirt coming and please correct me if I am wrong is that I like a delayed start...

Not sure...

By: India Whiskey Charlie : August 23rd, 2019-21:29
What's the difference between the watch staying on your wrist and continuing to wind on the winder? I don't see a benefit to having a delayed start as you suggest.

The theory being that it gives the watch a chance to run down and then up

 By: Patekphilippecollector : August 24th, 2019-01:38
Again versus being fully wound and then going for 900TPD

Understood. [nt]

By: India Whiskey Charlie : August 24th, 2019-08:15

That is a nice feature.

 By: patrick_y : August 24th, 2019-20:45
I want to say a BZ I had, had that delay start feature. But it's not with me right now so I can't check. I haven't seen the winders Patek Philippe currently offers, so I didn't know that there was a bluetooth mechanism. This is definitely a good idea and ...

Just checked

 By: Jurry : August 26th, 2019-13:11
Just took quick look at their website: nowadays versions also come with Bluetooth

Bingo!

 By: patrick_y : August 26th, 2019-14:00
I knew there was an app, so I knew it was coming. I just didn't know if it was public yet.

For the traveller that has everything the Travelbox

Looks like a fantastic toy to get!!!

Have one

 By: Jurry : August 24th, 2019-03:39
I once received a Kubik winder that is branded Vacheron. It’s exactly the same as on this picture and i5 works indeed like clockwork I used it for my Vacheron Harmony Calendar: it fits perfectly in the safe so even when stored my watch remains wound and I...

Definitely trying to find fault and be critical!

 By: patrick_y : August 24th, 2019-20:47
The SwissKubik I've experienced definitely has a bit of a snap when removing the watch. But it's not a big problem. Yeah, I love the straight up part. Something so small and simple, yet such a nice tough to have!

I have to try it

 By: drphileasfogg : August 24th, 2019-03:59

SwissKubik as official supplier to most all high-end brands

 By: totallyworthit : August 24th, 2019-07:05
SwissKubik is the winder supplier to Rolex, AP, Omega, JLC, Tag Heuer, and so many other brands. Their movements are bulletproof and guaranteed for 3 years. Most importantly, they do not magnetize the watches they preciously keep.

The BZ Vantage is a very nice model!

 By: patrick_y : August 24th, 2019-20:51
Speaking from experience, I do like my BZ Vantage. But it's large and expensive. It doesn't travel well. It's heavy. It won't fit in the bank's safe. Definitely a nice piece for your own home closet though! And I do think the BZ uses more batteries than o...

I use the BZ safemaster as its easy at home

 By: Patekphilippecollector : August 27th, 2019-01:25
And relocate to bank mo issue. I am just not a fan of the fact that it works on modules so each rotor does have independent function

And bizarrely all the functions are on top of the.module so you cant change them

 By: Patekphilippecollector : August 31st, 2019-18:21
Without pulling it out the safe. Wolf I think have generally git it right from a value and functionality perspective

Travel Winder...

Stay tuned, SwissKubiK may just have a surprise for you and all watch aficionados for this holidays...

Curious

 By: Jurry : August 26th, 2019-13:03
You’re making me curious? I’m about to invest in a true proper luxury safe. Haven’t decided yet if I select built in winders or buy winders separately that fit in the safe. Hence you’re “hint/suggestion” could be important to me

Get a safe from a safe manufacturer...

 By: patrick_y : August 26th, 2019-14:09
The luxury safes area really nice, but they're shockingly expensive. I would like to do a review about a safe, but I find that I'm not an expert in safes, so I might not be qualified. However, with the non-professional knowledge I do have; I would highly ...

Thanks

 By: Jurry : August 26th, 2019-14:34
Your views are much appreciated I’ve done a lot of homework and learned 3 things: 1) luxury safes are indeed ridiculous expensive but seldom ly offering adequate protection 2) many, many manufacturers shout they are burglary and fire protection and list r...

Best comment I heard was from fellow

 By: Patekphilippecollector : August 27th, 2019-01:26
Forum member Ed whi said that the safes are so expensive that even if it was stolen empty, you still weep!!

Yes! Very true! [nt]

Brands are fine...

 By: patrick_y : August 27th, 2019-09:26
I recommend a brand called ISM. Israeli made. Very high quality. Considered as a "Rolex" level safe. In the USA, the popular brand here is called "AMSEC" or American Security. Another high quality "Cadillac" level of safe. Both of these companies have the...

Thanks Patrick. Great review!

 By: MichaelC : August 26th, 2019-15:27
I appreciate your thoughts. I no longer use a winder as my collection is small and I keep them at the bank. But I like these little cubes, very attractive and most importantly they seem highly programmable. Kudos to the designers.

Thank you MichaelC!

 By: patrick_y : August 27th, 2019-09:23
That's the best way to do it. No winders. All on the wrist.
