This was MY first longines ever as well (after 15 years of collecting).
I’m not into vintage and other modern Longines did not inspire me.But the way they did this model really speaks to me.
Have fun and wear in good health.

After 20 years of being a watch enthusiast in my adult life, this is my first Longines. This piece offers the beauty of 1930s esthetics but with modern technology that allows daily use..

My interest in watches started when I was about 9 or 10 years old when my grandfather asked me to wind his (at that time already vintage) Longines for him every morning... I am currently "test-driving" this watch here to see if a PP 5296G with sector dial...

Very nice watch

Some days ago I stand in the front of a watch shop's display window and paid attention to that model's beauty.

Nice

Longines is the greatest. Wrote this, it is a personal watch opinion from my side. Longines did always what they think that this delivers the best watches. See it in the dials, glass, straps. Strong and elegant. Use them on the go, to a dinner, and by wel...

Very nice

Is it manualwind? How thick is the case?

The case, including the nicely box-shape sapphire crystal is around 10mm thick. 9mm without the crystal. It is an automatic which obviously can be also manually wound. The power reserve is 64 hours. [nt]

The case diameter measures 38.5mm with a lug to lug span of 46.5mm. The brushing is superbly executed and the edges of the cases are very crisp and refined. If I had to pick a strap myself, I could not have picked a better one than what Longines offers. ...

very nice [nt]

Agree. Gorgeous. And you don’t have to give your arm or leg . Lol

Vintage aesthetic with modern reliability. Music to my ears as well.

I have a feeling you will like the Patek 5296 sector dial. I’ve seen in person and it certainly can dress down or up. Leaf hands on a sector dial make me smile.

My ( probably unpopular opinion )

I like the esthetics of the Longines much better than the Patek. It’s has a cleaner dial and a true sector dial as well.
