However, the contrast from black and white looks "in real life" a bit too hard imo. I would have much prefered a more vintage colour on the centre of the dial, just like the original had. Like a salmon-rose-patina-silver whatever. So i might prefer last y... 

I agree with your points, a manual movement would be sublime, and a bit of contrast also would be better on the dial.

But I welcome the case size. Overall, I think Longines is doing a fantastic job with this re-editions compared to other brands...

I may have a small preference for the chronograph but as usual all of these watches need to be seen before final assessment.
