Usually, this time of year, I look forward to new releases from SIHH/BW appearing in ADs, so I can see pieces that piqued my interest and pleased me. For the first time (since my first looking in 2014), there is nothing from this year's watch shows to enliven the dog days of August. Every year cannot be a success, and I believe that unless one or two manufacturers present a new fall surprise to brighten the holiday horizon, 2019 will go down as a bust in the annals of watch history.
