Pick 2, any 2

 By: Brandon Skinner : June 1st, 2019-15:50
Elliot55 just posted a fantastic article about watch servicing. 3rd picture in was this (with credit to ABlogToWatch). So my Saturday game for you is... What two watches would you choose if these were your choices? Money, of course, being no object... ...

First one is easy: JLC Spherotourbillon

 By: vitalsigns : June 1st, 2019-15:56
Struggling with the second choice: Roger Smith, Journe Resonance, L1 MP.... Probably the Roger Smith. Held one once. It was amazing. A few pieces I can’t make out so I couldn’t give them full consideration. Cheers, John

I have a major soft spot for the MIH but

with this much heavy weaponry on the table I couldn't do it. For balance however it would make a lot of sense.

I could be wrong but it sure looks like one.

It does look a little small though. But the dial, cut-out is unmistakable I think.

yup it is [nt]

Ditto.

 By: TheMadDruid : June 3rd, 2019-07:27
My choice as well.

An awesome combo for sure! [nt]

This Tourb on a stick is bonkers

Though I prefer this guy if I had a choice ...

A Totally Unreal...

... Timepiece. When you see it in the real, it is hard to wrap your mind around.

The Parmigiani, for one. The Daniels, for two. And, . . .

 By: Dr No : June 1st, 2019-16:53
. . . Mitch will be rolling on the floor laughing his head off when he sees my number one. I'll let him explain ;-) . . .

Hi Art, where’s the Daniels?

 By: NickO : June 1st, 2019-17:04
Looks like a Roger Smith in the bottom right, is there a Daniels somewhere in there, too? Or is that a Daniels? NickO

Well, technically, it's a Roger Smith, Nick, but . . .

 By: Dr No : June 1st, 2019-19:18
. . . for all intents and purposes, it's a Daniels. I'll let Mitch explain. Best, Art

Forgot to make my own picks

 By: Brandon Skinner : June 1st, 2019-17:04
I'd be happy with either piece from the Irish brothers(I'll take one, you guys fight over the other), and incredible this incredible PSM ...

Another look at the PSM

 By: Brandon Skinner : June 1st, 2019-22:57
...

It is a real gem. For fun - do you know who deigned this piece? It is a prototype that was never commercialized by PSM. But who is the watchmaker who designed this movement?

 By: Mitch K : June 2nd, 2019-17:35
This movement is a jump hour that allows the watch to be set forwards or backwards without a problem.

🤷‍♂️,Calling Tim Jackson now for the answer😎

 By: Brandon Skinner : June 2nd, 2019-22:26
I'm no good at this!🤦‍♂️

I knew Tim would come through

 By: Brandon Skinner : June 3rd, 2019-07:51
He told me it was Stephen McDonnell. Apparently Peter gave him the idea and Stephen made it by hand, old school. No CAD. Now I'm even more impressed.

MIH + FPJ

 By: VMM : June 1st, 2019-17:39
I like them all, but these two are the ones I would probably wear the most. The McGonigle Tuscar could be an option too, I like it very much. Vte

Under the Sonata is the UN Tourbillion Manufacture - a skeleton tourb with a manufactured tourb produced from silicium.

 By: Mitch K : June 2nd, 2019-17:43
The rectangular watch that I think you are calling a Chronoswiss on the right of the picture is n early UN Michelangelo. To the right of that one are the two McGonigles that I spoke about above.

Thomas Prescher and Roger Smith

 By: sleepy_templar : June 1st, 2019-19:49
maybe plus the JLC

LOL! [nt]

 By: amanico : June 2nd, 2019-00:20

Yes, for me as well. [nt]

 By: Spangles - Dr. Tabby : June 1st, 2019-21:45

with a lot of humbleness I would take RW Smith Daniels' anniv & the FP Journe Resonance...

 By: mahesh : June 1st, 2019-23:43
i wouldn't miss a beat, if there was a chance ;-) Best, mahesh.,

I would pick the RWS and the VH .

 By: Watchonthewrists : June 2nd, 2019-00:58
True beauty’s imho .

Wow - that's some heavy metal!

 By: jml_watches : June 2nd, 2019-02:08
Think the 2 I'd go for are the MIH & R W Smith. Cheers JML

All. The RS is not in the picture. The Daniels was designed by Roger and George but it was executed by Roger's shop. I know George saw working models of the Anniversary

 By: Mitch K : June 2nd, 2019-17:27
piece and I would love to believe that he saw mine but I do not think so. Bottom line, the watch is considered a Daniels as much as the millennium series by George is considered a Daniels even though Roger made the watches. Cheers

Which McGonigle? [nt]

 By: Mitch K : June 3rd, 2019-12:39

The original Tuscar

 By: nwk00 : June 3rd, 2019-14:31
Though the taste isn't for everyone, I would have ordered one if the watch was smaller.

yes the Sphero I meant. [nt]
