Regarding the lugs to be honest I never noticed but looking at the pics I wouldn’t be surprised if that was the case

IIRC the movement was suspended by three springs for shock-absorption. Very RM inspired. Many years ago, I remember seeing these at Nieman-Marcus in St. Louis. I thought it was an "interesting" sales channel.
To me, I enjoy the mechanical nakedness (Yes, I have a deep-rooted reason/issue). Would like to see one of these again in the flesh and actually try it on. Thank you for the great photos! -John
