Good to discus such a thing as calibers and complications.

Tourbillon is a kind of a holy subject under watchfreaks. To be onnest, a tourbillon is expensive. Do you need a tourbillon? My answere is, if you adore tourbillon watches, the only thing is get it.
To go very cheap to get your toubillon to buy a Chinese Seagull, than i think that you miss the goal to work on other targets that finaly leads to the real swiss made tourbillon watches.
For me personally a tourbillon is nice, but despite the high prices i am happy with automatc winding watches and sweet complications.

FC now as can see offers quality toubillons of the reach of watchlovers. But self i am more to watchhouses which made beautifull watches that match my taste. FC is not my taste.

I don’t know what to say about this...Mr Stern May be angry again, like he did to JCB. I know there are other factors affecting the price/quality ratio but just by complication point of view, this is mind blowing. Just like enameling dials, and maybe cloi...

Impressive.

My idea of a grand complication should be a skill that only the Master or Shi-Fu can do...not apprentice or machines. That to me, kind of ruins the beauty of watch making.

Never understood Mr Stern his reaction

A Patek Chrono costs 70K, one from Tissot 1 K I don't see the problem, just like I don't see an issue if Patek asks 250K for a tourbillon and Heuer did it for 18 or so ? There is a reason why there is such a difference and I don't get it why a tourbillon ...

like why people appreciate Picasso’s Art or Artists with special talents. I can see why Mr Stern prefers “grand complication” should be left to the specialty of a Master but I also understand there is a need to pass down a skill which may be extinct. If s...

Is a “holy grail” item to me. Then again, different levels and finishing and quality will have their own market segment.
