Agreed, sorry I didn't mean to imply cheap is bad. I just thought it was interesting that he's transparent and all the manufacturers are listed on his page. I've often wondered how Swiss brands arrive at pricing and this guy addresses it directly.

Cheapest Swiss Tourbillon ever. Thoughts?

 By: socabaptist : November 14th, 2021-21:04
...

A watch as a whole.

 By: Weems@8 : November 14th, 2021-21:24
I would explain the title i used. A watch is what it is for me. Different things counts like quality, joy, accuracy, heritage, wear comfort, beauty, readability, service possibilities, proudness and so on. A tourbilon is ok, albeit i desire more than only...

Not interested at all !

I’m not looking for the most expensive but definitely not the most cheap We can find a chronograph for a few hundred euro and than we have a datograph Same here IF I want a tourbillon it should be something special and beautiful, from a big maison like pa...

I hear you 100% on not trying to get the cheapest.

But.. I think Tag did okay with their tourbillon, I would rather have one of their 1/1000 sec watches but if someone really wants a tourbillon it is not a bad pick at the price. But for another $10k you can step into a JLC tourbillon, or at least you used...

If it works and is reliable

Then this is a cool idea in my opinion. Makes a tourbillon accessible for many more collectors.

I think complications should be more accessible

So I have no problem with ‘it’s the cheapest of its kind’ being the selling point of a watch. But I the Chinese have the Swiss completely beat in terms of low cost manufacturing. As such I’m not sure that this watch will find much of an audience. Those lo...

Am I the only one who is seriously confused by the brand name??

Did they land in Ba111od because Ba11od was already registered? Seriously, this is the stuff that keeps me up at night. Having OCD sucks.

Believe it or not

The founder of this company purposefully named it something which could not be pronounced. Google it and I’m sure you can get the full story. He’s a long time industry insider trying to prove concepts (more so than actually sell watches)

I know traditionally tourbillons are difficult and time-consuming to put together

So now I wonder how exactly watches like these and Tag Heurer save costs

Chinese Tourbillon

should be inside. If you have a look at BA111oD collection they offer only about 500€ Chinese calibre watches. The Company exists only since only 1 year "Swiss made" means there are more than 50% value made in Swiss. Not for me.

Olivier MORY of BCP Tourbillon is a Company with only 1 employee.

I do not spell that a manufacture. LOL

Sorry, the title of this post is kind of strange. Cheap suggests also bad, and this is here definitely not the case!

It is a well made modern looking Avantgarde Swiss watch, optimized and perfected in the areas of production and distribution with the technologies that are available NOW, and not from the last century. I highly respect Baillod for his attitudes and effort...

Do they list all of their suppliers?

 By: Cozmopak : November 15th, 2021-21:16
They should if they pride themselves on transparency. I feel like maybe I got ripped off by buying an Angelus U40 recently! Lol

I think it's a very good looking tourbilon

and so much better looking than the many Chinese brands that have launched their tourbillon. GEO
