A surprising watch from Corum

 By: SJX : May 27th, 2009-09:26
Corum is a fairly small company, with annual revenues of about US$100 million, about the same size as Blancpain and Vacheron Constantin. But Corum enjoys a strong level of recognition, even amongst average consumers, thanks to its characteristic products....

Press release and technical diagrams of Ti-Bridge

 By: SJX : May 27th, 2009-09:33
Two versions of the Ti-Bridge will be produced. One will be in titanium with black PVD coating in a limited edition of 150 pieces. Retail price in Singapore is S$25,145, equivalent to about US$17,400. No images of the PVD version are available yet. The ot...

Not so sure about the styling, but the movement

 By: BDLJ : May 27th, 2009-16:56
Is definitely interesting. All the wheels in line, I'd like to see it in the flesh.

More than just a hint of Richard Mille, if you ask me...

 By: Jos. : May 28th, 2009-01:36
... it may be more square than the RM case (and I agree that's an improvement over it) but the overall form of the bezel, the dot indices ring inside the bezel, and especially the way the sides taper into lug-like ends are pure RM. Richard Mille definitel...

My only qualm

 By: flamenco : May 28th, 2009-03:37
The bridge itself is not as highly decorated as before. Guess it does not go with the mechanical/industrial look. Been think about the bridge some time now, however, this splits my resolve. Very good price indeed ! Thansk for sharing and very much ooking ...

Thanks for sharing.

Not for me but impressive! alepos

Agree with GMH.

 By: ALEPOS : May 31st, 2009-01:15
For me there are not must have brands. There are brands that i respect more than others and for what they are so when i see a watch from those brands that i like i would buy it. alepos

just got goldie bridge

 By: Hororgasm : May 27th, 2009-12:44
just collected my rose gold golden bridge....still loving it, and mesmerized by by the baguette movement. also have a admirals cup 48mm tide. my feelings that Corum is a brand that has got no cohesive branding and product placements, despite some "heritag...

Congrats!

 By: SJX : May 27th, 2009-16:32
I like the Tides very much as well, but only in the earlier 40-42mm case. The 48mm is too large for me. Nevertheless it's a one of a kind complication and perfect for a nautical themed watch. - SJX

Your is art

 By: flamenco : May 28th, 2009-03:42
An artistic interpretation. This is well....... state of the art. Still very much luv the goldie. The oogling was too much to bare, still having nightmares

Quite interesting...

 By: Rob : May 27th, 2009-14:39
The first impression I got was that the case seemed to resemble a Cartier Santos so immediately, I looked for the size and found that it seems to be just right. I look forward to seeing this in the metal, sounds like the Mrs. could finally have her versio...

Oh gosh. That Golden Bridge looks good.

A friend just asked me to look into that as well. I may just have to do that.

Terminator RM..."The Rise of the Designers"

 By: bernard cheong : May 27th, 2009-20:34
One of the best results of Richard's forensic footprints left in the trail of great designs ...a beautiful watch, looks much better than the rectangular Richard Milles's and with a TRUE purpose..it seems to reinforce the delicate Golden Bridge (seems to)....

Retail is SGD23k.

 By: SJX : May 27th, 2009-20:51
A very fair price for what it is. - SJX

Wow..That is a VERY good price!

 By: bernard cheong : May 27th, 2009-20:57
It will eat into those who bought the original Golden Bridges....sigh. This is almost an "improvement" on Vincent's original drawings and layouts. It looks much more robust...with more lateral and horizontal supports.

great value

 By: Hororgasm : May 28th, 2009-12:37
yupe...i just got my goldie in PG. but if retail sgd23k, after discount under sgd20k? i will take another one.

Intriguing mechanics...

 By: dxboon : May 28th, 2009-01:07
...and attractive in its own right, but I can't tell time with the Ti-Bridge so that lessens my enthusiasm a bit! Corum hasn't yet made a watch that I feel drawn to. My cousin-in-law visited last summer and was in the market for a Corum Admiral's Cup, so ...

Much DNA from other brands, but a really stunning creation

 By: Geo : May 28th, 2009-03:48
One of the best Corum pieces I have seen over the years. But why sooooooo large? Thanks for posting SJX, Geo

Come on Geo, it's not THAT large

 By: SJX : May 28th, 2009-04:37
it's a little smaller than a Santos 100 XL. - SJX

You're right about that

 By: Geo : May 28th, 2009-10:06
I am so old traditionel some times when it comes to case sizes. But the watch is so interesting that I really want to try it. Hope to a wristshot here. Geo

Reminds me a bit of the HW Tourbliion Glissiere

 By: aaronm : May 28th, 2009-07:29
Even though the HWRT is signifigantly more complex, something about the horizontally laid-out movement and the gray case does it. I am intrigued by the design, but I'd want to see it live, or at least pictures of it live, I always have trouble gauging siz...

I LOVE it! Really special. Thanks [nt]

Can't wait to see the live photos and in the metal as well!

Now, that is a surprise!

 By: amanico : May 28th, 2009-22:32
I feel curious about this watch. An original movement and a nice case ( I was thinking of the Monaco V 4 ) and a correct price. Now, 2d step, I will have to see it in the flesh ,and to do the Wrist Test . As you, SJX, Corum was, for me, the Golden Bridge,...
