I'm liking the Breitling Duograph....

Pricing is well done too...esp. in steel ! 42mm x 15mm yes a tad thicker but maually wound split second....not too many isn't it ?! It is an in-house manually wound movement, has a column-wheel + vertical clutch - COSC certified + 70 hours of PR. what you...

The blue is quite beautiful

I think The Green is also quite beautiful

Hopefully, there will be multiple dial color choices. ...

If you laid the watch down...

...climbed up onto the crystal and jumped off, you would be likely to die from the fall. So yes, it's too thick : )

lol...but i think you're a bit unfair...

Lange double split is 15,3mm Montblanc is 14,5mm PP being the thinnest at 13,5mm but they're at different price category altogether !

I tried on the 5370 of a friend and it feels like 11-12mm...it wears shockingly thin...not sure why.

 By: mdg : April 6th, 2021-11:17
But I will always go with thinner is better unless it introduces some sort of fatal flaw into the movement.

I agree...PP is quite good in focusing on wearability of the timepiece by design, while ALS is keen to bring the depth of the movement in prominence...

Breitling probably is challenged due to the split-seconds module on top of the chronograph movement.

I think the Lange movement depth is what it is...

 By: mdg : April 6th, 2021-11:29
...I don't think they started out saying 'Let's build a thick movement because it will look cool.' If they did then I would be very disappointed. I would much prefer they shave off a couple of mm while keeping the functionality/reliability.

what I read is...

 By: mahesh : April 6th, 2021-10:33
it is in-house manually wound movement built on their existing B09 manually wound chronograph with additional module for split-seconds and has a column-wheel + vertical clutch like the parent movement. of course COSC with 70 hours PR. I'm happy it is manu...

Looking good.

But - as always - must be seen "live" I think. I saw a photo of it from the side, and it looked quite high. Judged by the photos the design of the case is such that it doesn't "disguise" the measured dimensions. But apart from that it looks very tempting ...

I agree...

Those are quite interesting and indeed mecanichal splits are rare in the market

But what happened to Breitling's leather straps? They used to be very nice and now, they look like cheap embossed croc print They could have gone with a plain leather or cordovan instead

I think there on the right track with there new lines

I really like that green one and this Salmon dial with moonface ...

I completely agree...salmon looks stunning

 By: mahesh : April 6th, 2021-14:08
What I don’t understand is the case sizing, given the movement size

Totally agree

 By: Gelato Monster : April 6th, 2021-17:07
Salmon no 1 (because for its more versatile) Pistachio no 1 (because it's also cool and different )

while i agree...i equally see except for PP none of the other rattrapante are thinner either & still PP is quite 13,5mm thin !

i would find it not easy for my wrist too but i'm appreciative that Breitling designed & priced it well in comparison.
