Curtain rises on new manufactory movement
The new PanoMaticCalendar from Glashütte Original
|
|
The
premiere of a new movement is a big event for a manufactory. We are
pleased to present not only an exclusive movement and a new timepiece,
but to add another complication to our portfolio as well: the annual
calendar.
|
|
The
new PanoMaticCalendar is available from June 16, 2022 in all Glashütte
Original Boutiques and from selected retailers worldwide.
|
|
The
PanoMaticCalendar is dedicated to the special milestones of our lives:
the great and small highlights, extraordinary and everyday encounters.
The new movement celebrates its premiere in two versions at once: as
Calibre 92-09 in the unlimited red gold version, and as Calibre 92-10 in
the partially skeletonized platinum model.

For
the first time, our watchmakers have taken on the annual calendar. In
this elegant timekeeper, various functions are given pride of place –
not only the hours, minutes and seconds, but the day and month as well,
taking months of different lengths into account. Only once a year, on
March 1st, is it necessary to adjust the date, in order to account for
the short month of February.
|
|
In
line with the style of our Pano line, the watch appears perfectly
contemporary, clean and absolutely unmistakable thanks to the dial’s
asymmetric design. Both models feature the characteristic asymmetrical
arrangement of the time display and small seconds. Complementing the
moon phase display at 2 o’clock is an innovative month display beneath a
sapphire crystal window between 6 and 3 o’clock. The calendar
indications are completed by our signature Panorama Date at 4 o’clock,
framed for the first time in the red gold version by a fine gold border.
|
|
With
the PanoMaticCalendar, Glashütte Original also presents a new
manufactory movement developed in-house, which celebrates its premiere
in two versions at once: as Calibre 92-09 in the unlimited red gold
version, and as Calibre 92-10 in the platinum model. Both movements are
rhodium plated, the limited edition is particularly striking;
galvanization coats it in an elegant shade of black rhodium.

Whatever
its appearance, the new automatic movement demonstrates what the modern
mechanics at its best can offer. A silicon balance spring unaffected
by changes in temperature or magnetic fields and a frequency of 28,000
half-oscillations per hour deliver exceptional rate precision, paired
with a remarkable running time of 100 hours, great resistance and easy
to use functions.
