Power colours from the Seventies
Glashütte Original presents two new limited editions of its Vintage chronograph

“Disco Blue” and “Vibing Orange” – the names of the new Seventies Chronograph
Panorama Date models say it all. The two limited editions from Glashütte Original
prove to be ideal companions for short nights and hot summer days. Their dials in
sky blue or lush orange take up the electrifying style of the 1970s and lift everyone’s
spirits instantly. The hand-crafted automatic movement keeps a steady beat and
offers, combined with its vintage styling, an extremely good time

Funky Colours
Bright colours and flamboyant patterns were one of the Seventies’ big trends. In the cities,
clubs popped up everywhere, and the dancers’ extravagant outfits shone in all the colours
of the rainbow. Now Glashütte Original has taken inspiration from two of the most popular
shades of disco fever. Light blue stands for freedom and light-heartedness, while orange
exudes zest for life and jollity. Both light the desire not just for short nights, but for long
summer days as well: they evoke sunsets and swimming pools, bright blue skies and exotic
cocktails – with every glance at the time

A vintage-look favourite of watch fans
The Seventies Chronograph Panorama Date has been a favoured member of the Glashütte
Original collection since it was first introduced. The design is inspired by the trends of the
eponymous decade, and new versions continue to add colour to the line. The latest entries
add a new chapter to this success story. With dials in “Disco Blue” and “Vibing Orange”, the
new Seventies Chronograph Panorama Date models are real eye-catchers. Both dials
feature a matt lacquer surface, which lends the powerful colours a contemporary finish –
and are remarkably rare: the two new timepieces are each limited to 100 pieces.

Unmistakable lines and shapes
No changes have been made to the gently rounded corners and dynamic lines of the 40 x
40 mm stainless steel case, a size fit for every wrist. The striking forms and shiny accents
are perfectly complemented by two different straps: matt black rubber and pure stainless
steel.

The rhythm of the Seventies
Ticking quietly and reliably within this stylish chronograph is the Glashütte Original
manufactory’s Calibre 37-02 automatic movement, which is crafted, decorated and regulated by hand in the brand’s own workshops. Its hypnotic motion and refined decorative
finishes can easily be admired through its sapphire crystal case back. Watch fans will love
the technical details of this filigreed power pack: up to 70 hours power reserve join water
resistance up to 10 bar. In general, this mechanical work of art with flyback chronograph is
exceptionally suited for everyday use. The eminently legible Panorama Date, one of the
watchmaker’s signature features, never tires of reminding the wearer to make good use of
the day.

Proud to be the Original. #PTBTO
The two new Seventies Chronograph Panorama Date models in “Disco Blue” and “Vibing
Orange”, both of which are produced in limited editions of only 100 pieces, are available
from the end of July 2022 in all Glashütte Original Boutiques and from authorised retailers
worldwide.

I'm a fan

Nice to see varieties not just black dial. Doesn't make sense only 100... I don't think people are speculating on GO seventies but I could be wrong. I'm not a buyer just don't know why limit. What is the numeral in the top of the dial? Is that a gmt or mi...

It’s to get buyers off the fence

Scarcity sells even when it creates No identifiable value.

I like GO a lot, however, this seams to obvious! 🙈 why not naming the color „Tiffany-Blue“? Because THAT is the intention.

The 70-ties had generally speaking rather „warm“ colors. In the selling text they should have written: „Hey, we know Rolex and Patek sold this color. We have that too. You cannot have it from them so buy it from us. But hurry, only 100…“ 🫣😅 ...

Underlying watch is high quality

Prefer the orange of the two, but the Tiffany Blue is going to be safer in the wardrobe. No watchmaker with sizeable volume to shift is immune to following the market trends, but thankfully the watch itself remains a peach. I'd have loved to see the Senat...
