Happy 10th birthday

Apr 17, 2021,02:05 AM

I’ve been having some time today to go through my watch box, and I just realized this is 10 years with me today.

There are some watches I get bored of quite quickly and either stop wearing them, or when not worn for a long enough time, they end up being sold or traded.

Happy to say that this is one that still gets quite a lot of wrist time, even if the legibility is not the strongest suit, but with this, I’m spending more time admiring the balance and the engraving than looking at the time almost all day when I have it on. At 42mm, it is also the biggest watch I own.

A keeper for sure, and is the only watch in my collection that my daughter has actually approved of. She doesn’t wear watches and tells me all the time that all my watches are boring except for this one and is the only one she’d want if given a choice.

The longest I have ever kept a watch for is 6 years so 10 years for me is an admirable feat! And your daughter has good taste. She is obviously not a time only girl!

Well, technically, besides the power reserve indicator, this is time only ;-)

with a personal engraving so you are stuck with it my friend! And a power reserve indicator actually makes a huge difference to the dial of any watch.

Congratulations on this special day

1O YEARS. A perfect milestone. Your daughter loves your watch. Get her on watches. 3 YEARS. A little milestone. 17 Avril 2018, my first automatic watch ever. The same as you, a Swatch Group member. ...

Congratulations! Every milestone is a good one

Tissot is not something I follow closely, except in recent years with the powermatic 80 movements is very impressive. A lot of nice designs from them these days too....many many years ago, I had the T Touch. It was a fascinating watch, but the electronics...

This great day

Honestly my first automatic watch, the Tissot i post is just a watch when carry stones and cut wood. The situations a luxury watch can catch scratches and bumps. At Apr 29, this one, my second luxury automatic watch will be 2 years in my watch collection....

An original design by G.O.

I’m seeing a lot of love for your chronometer too. Something I need to look closer at.

The inverse is a great watch.

I know exactly what you mean, I have the GO Panograph and it never figures within the flip/ trade pile. I never get bored of it. Another keeper for sure.
