In rose gold because I think it fits the nostalgia of a chronometer better than white gold ... But both are great and I understand the stealth appeal. ...  

I am the happy owner if GUB (Glashütte) Ship Chronometer. It came with its most recent test and re-calibration statement from the calibration authority of the German Democratic Republic. That document dates to March 1990. So while the Warshaw pact had bro... 

Thinking of those days, I am reminded of the biography of Walter Lange where he talks about the registration of the new A. Lange & Sohnne which was supposed to happen on a specific day to mark an anniversary of the original company. But they didn't realiz... 

Because it is most faithful to the original Marine Chronometers. But I did not have the chance to see it in the metal so far. The Red Gold version is very fine and receives a lot of charm from the warm color of the metal. Also the red gold color is closes... 

Then it would have been the most pure expression. But a date does not belong to a true chronometer. Unless maybe it is part of a very precise perpetual calendar ...

It is not part of a ship chronometer. A topic that I considered for a while when the watch came out in 2009. I got to terms with it because the panorama date is _the_ signature detail of G.O. and an important part of their DNA. Furthermore Ingot the feeli... 

There is the Humboldt pocket watch which Lange uses to give their regulators a historical context. Ultimately of course a personal choice.

Personally I do not like Regulators in particular… 🤷🏼‍♂️

At the end it‘s also personal taste. For me this blue dial is simply stunning, extraordinary and worlds apart from the usual stuff. The date window in the same tone is a masterpiece in itself!

I know what you mean about the date on the LE. But it does balance out the Glashutte label at 9 o’clock. And the date display by GO is the best imo. Thank you for sharing!

I'm certain you know my choice

It is the regular white gold model w/ normal bezel. I have seen the blue dial in person several times and despite wanting to love it, I don't. Not exactly sure if it is the particular shade or not.

First and foremost, the GO Chronometer's hands HAVE to be blue - this rules out blue dial. The Regulator although intriguing just doesn't really work for the Chronometer for three reasons. 1) THE focal point of the Chronometer is in my opinion its lovely ... 

Highlights the in-plane pano date of the two digits beat! My vote is for the regulator
