Wempe is an independent watch manufacturer located in Glashütte, this particular watch, the movement was a collaboration with Nomos, it is a Nomos movement. There were only 300 of this particular type made. More pictures to come.

So, Nomos make/made a 'formed' movement. That prompts one to wonder why they didn't use it themselves.

Nomos Lux and Lambda

Actually Nomos do use that movement on the Nomos Lux and Lambda, The movement is 80 hr power reserve.

Thank you! I double-checked and you're right, Nomos use the formed movement, the DUW 2001, in the Lux. (In the Lambda, however, they use the round DUW 1001.)
