I've got to say, the date in blue makes the watch MUCH more attractive than the date in white... to my eye, at least. One of the things that turned me off of the watch I tried on was I felt the date appeared too obtrusive. It called out for the eye to go there immediately instead of the beautiful sunburst dial. Looks like one just needs to be diligent to get that detail correct in the watch he purchases. To my eyes, that white date window is a deal breaker... nice to know there is a better option.
