Thats absolutely true. When you can see the lugs it appears bigger.
Nevertheless it is a beautiful watch.
Maybe "small" in millimetres from what you are used to, but....

I remember well the drive home after I bought it around 2002. Was very proud and looked at it all the way home (someone 200 km). Found home nevertheless. Wore it some years regularly and now from time to time.
