Well, the clothes and hair were really horrendous in the 80ies
But music was not bad at all, at least for my taste. There were plenty of great albums from Black Sabbath (with Ian Gillan and DIO), Michael Schenker, Iron Maiden, The Cult, AC/DC (Back in Black & For Those About To Rock), Whitesnake, The Cure, Duran Duran and many, many others.
In terms of cars, a complete disaster.
When it comes to watches, my "school boy's wet dream" came in the form of a CFX-20. I was never tired about its functions and 23 buttons.
It was so sadly gone by the hands of a couple of robbers.
About that 7000 GP, all I have to say is WOW! The blue dial one really does not move me, but the black dial is nothing less than AWESOME! And I really don't think it looks retro – for me it's a typical timeless, sound design.
