Variety is indeed nice ☀️
Your evo3 is the same size variant as mine. 42.6 mm. The 44 mm variant would be too big for me … I’m moving to smaller watches these days. I got my evo3 because it’s the quartz variant.
I’m taking advantage of the soft watch market to pick up rare birds. The 8010 doesn’t seem to be going down in price though … I was thinking of the grey dial in full steel but then again I have the blue dial in full steel already and it’s a blue grey. Kinda fun making “sets” 😅
I try to focus on specific brands and models I especially like the looks of and then deep dive. So AP, Minerva and GP for me.
For GP, the neo vintage pieces are so different from each other that while the same brand or even model, they vary greatly between the different generations.
The 1966 38 mm full open work is what I would get if looking at that reference….
Congratulations on your collection. All have their own character.
🤝

Thanks Jesse

Before I tried japanese food I was like WTF … raw fish? No way. I tried it … meh. Second time I tried it … hmm not terrible. And soon, I loved it. Same for 2-tone for me. Was all steel for me in the past. AP or GP etc. all quite similar. All the same size...
Laureato

Wonderful thing about the watch world is the diversity of personal taste & style that makes it so interesting. I’ve owned two modern Laureato’s, black ceramic and Titanium/rose two tone (don’t anymore), but still prefer these and the Evo 3. There’s just s...
8010

If I was presented the opportunity for one in great condition like yours, It’d take a lot of restraint not to jump on it! But I do already have an Evo 3 and unlike you with multiples of a subset within a collection, I’m inclined toward a 1966, maybe a dua...
GP

Thanks, amanico. Good to get perspective from fellow aficionado’s. I’ve had a high regard for GP for over 30 years despite them not enjoying the attention some other brands receive, although I kind of like that they fly under most peoples radar. They hold...
Openwork

Yeah, that’s awfully pretty! Like it in the Laureato too, earth to sky but especially the rose gold version. I don’t know why but open-worked also seem to hold more stable pricing than some of the high complications, perpetual calendar, equation of time e...
