I feel like the newer collectors need to know the history of certain watches and their designers.
I often remind GP collectors that ALL the current production laureatos were designed by Stefano Macaluso. The son of Luigi.
True collecting is not just about looks of a watch but a large part is also about heritage and rarity. IMHO similar to collecting art 🖼️
