The GP Type XX (vs. Breguet Type 20)

Sep 12, 2020,10:53 AM

I have landed recently the fairly rare GP Type XX and have now taken pics next to my Breguet Type XX.

Two in my view beautiful watches, looking largely similar in order to conform to the mil‘specs. Main obvious difference is the case that is thicker with the Breguet. The Breguet housing a Valjoux 225 whilst the GP houses a Valjoux 720, both with flyback function.

Cheers, HSTE

Hmmm, they were all produced by Matthey Tissot. I would assume the Breguet first......

......primarily for military use, Then a few Matthey Tissot branded dials for civilian use. And why the Girards Perregaux is I guess a big mystery. The Breguet is great, a bit thicker than the GP but I just like very much the design, be it the Breguet or ...

Why is it -I have thought of the Type XX being bi-compax design?
