Quick Novelty break: vintage Girard-Perregaux Alarm 9443

Jan 20, 2019,05:41 AM

Friends,

before we continue with the review of this year's novelties from Girard-Perregaux, let's take a quick break and look at a vintage marvel that I recently found.

The Girard-Perregaux Alarm 9443 with Steel case and blue dial.

I could say even it is my first Memovox as inside beats JLC automatic caliber 916 (a GP variant, but essentially the same).

Happy Sunday everyone!

Nothing to be afraid of, get your feet wet and learn as you go

My first and so far the only vintage is IWC Pilot 3706 year 2004...not really vintage, I know. I bought it rather inexpensive, but the service cost was quite high (in IWC AD). The result is, of course , very satisfying.

Problems you are facing in vintage world specially if you stay outside Rolex and Panerai

are not harder than in modern world....worth giving try....in the end I think it can be much more rewarding. Cheers D

Wow - very nice , with a great blue dial.

Almost a two for one - a great GP alarm, but with a JLC automatic movement inside. A great find, enjoy wearing it. Cheers JML
