Great comparison, only side-by-side one can appreciate the subtle differences. I have to say, I still love the 4946. In the comparison pictures it nicely shows how the crystal is slightly larger compared to the case and it also has the case polished. To me at least it looks it has more harmonious proportions even it is smaller at 38mm. I think the differences on the dial on the other hand are miniscule and make no material difference.
It would be nice to get an overview of the variation of the 4946 model. I believe there are numerous Rallye Monte Carlo editions and an edition called “Colorado Fly-back (4958)”. If anyone has a full overview with pictures…

I prefer the 38mm version.
I think that a smaller size works better for this kind of watch with scales. Just a matter of taste because the larger version is pretty balanced too. Thanks for the pics! Fx
