Laureato Onyx. Pink gold and steel

The 2 hands in steel for contrast to the dial.

Counter weight of the gold seconds hand is modelled after after the single bridge.

Was a task to take pics and not get any glare or reflections of the black dial (anyone having taken pics of black dial know the challenges).

is superb because if the difference in metals or hands and indices. This one was well thought out by GP … that why I chose it. With 188 pieces made, this is one of the more collectible LEs in the line IMHO. 🤝

My pleasure JK.

What are your thoughts about stone dials and such vs the usual lacquered ones? 🤝

This is one of my favorites!

It's a stunner. I don't own any GPs at the moment, but should I buy one, this would definitely be it. Not that I haven't admired your collection - it's great. This is just a personal favorite.

Many thanks mblum3.

I think the trick with GP is to know the ones to get that don't get old. They will age well and still retain your attention. The 42 mm can be a bit big for some so it all depends on wrist size too. 🤝

Not sure why but all the Onyx dials I've seen from AP ROyal Oaks have diamonds on them as well ...

Rather garish IMHO but hey, to each their own. I find less is more ... especially with an Onyx dial where it is the star of the show. 🤝

The Laureato Onyx in pink gold and steel is an exquisite choice. Reminds me of another.

The contrast of the steel hands against the deep black onyx dial is striking adds a refined touch of horological artistry. Capturing its beauty without glare or reflections is no small feat—your effort truly highlights the dial's mesmerizing depth and ele...

Thanks Bill.

There are some tricks to avoiding glare ... number one being to take pictures in natural light. Any overhead lighting will be an issue. Next is having some Ninja level ability to freeze one hand with watch and the other hand to adjust the camera. 🤣

Thanks. The reality with pics taken by brands

Is that they photoshop the pics. Glare is removed digitally etc etc So it’s often not realistic for everyday collectors like us to take comparable pics. There is a good free iphone macro app that I use for certain shots. Here is the link: https://apps.app...
