that I have never been a gold or especially a 2-tone sort of guy. Usually only steel. I have a pink gold AP royal oak chrono but don’t wear it.

So I can’t explain why I feel that the these neo vintage laureatos look good to me in 2 tone. 🤷🏻‍♂️

But yes, I too especially like the All steel on the tobacco grey dial with the copper subdials.

I have yet to see a steel cased one with the copper subdials. Usually steel subdials (as in the blue dial and the egg shell dial).

I know the 38 mm is really popular now and I’m happy about that. I’ve owned two 38 mm as well. I sold them as I felt that the 8010 appealed to me more. Though the case is 36 mm, the 8010 dial size is the same as the 38 mm. And it’s much slimmer at 8.1 mm. The 8010’is also much more rare (and cheaper). The 8010 is more elegant IMHO. So if anyone is considering a 38 mm I recommend you seriously consider the 8010 as well.

Here are some pictures

of the laureato olimpico on steel.

It’s really these neo vintage laureatos and the cushion case models that speak to me the most. Based on current choices and prices, they are models I feel more would consider if they knew about them.

Thanks Geross … glad you approve

I can sleep well now 😅

Awesome collection. I find the Laureato design well done, and it has stood the test of time.

My favorites of this bunch are the classic blue/gray dial version and the all-stainless chrono version with bronze outlined subdials. GP would do well to reissue the latter.
