Love this combination of rose gold, steel and the grey dial.
This rare bird 🦢 was the first laureato to House a mechanical calibre. The GP 3100.
36 mm case diameter and 7.9 mm thick. It is the very definition of sporty elegance IMHO.
The 8010 is a most 30 years old. Still accurate +-4 seconds. Fully supported by GP.
Points of interest:
1. No GP logo on the dial
2. No “Laureato” on the dial. Instead it is engraved on the caseback.
3. This is the first time that GP
Embraced the nickname of “Laureato” to the watch itself.
4. Numbers made in 2-tone? 800 in total across dial colors and metals. So I estimate that 150 made in rose gold and steel with the anthracite grey dial.
5. Future collectors item? I think so. It reminds me very much of the VC 222
6. NEO-vintage. (Not vintage)
7. Good price to value? I think so. The calibre 3100 is very similar to the current production 03300. The cal 3100 was used in by many famous brands such as Vacheron Constantin.
