Would you do anything about this?

Playing around with my loupe recently and I noticed this on my GP Ceramic Laureato...white mark/scratch between the "G" and "A" and some scratches on the top right corner of the nameplate near the "X". It's really not noticeable with the naked eye, but se...

Tough call. Me personally, I would not worry about it.

If you can't see it with the naked eye, why be bothered by it. You give me a loupe and 100 watches and I bet I can find some type of imperfection on 99 of them, if not every one. Enjoy it, but if it really bothers you, see what can be done. I am curious w...

just to clarify

It is possible to see the white mark with the naked eye. I didn't notice it until I took out the loupe. (Loupes can be dangerous but I also enjoy looking closely at these beautiful works of art!) You do really have to be looking very closely to be able to...

If you can see it without a loupe, then certainly get it corrected.

I misunderstood and thought the issue is only seen under magnification. That become trickier to to decide acceptable "tolerances". But if you can see the imperfection otherwise, that would bother me too.

The perfect watch

I own a 100 percent not damaged one. I looked a thousands times with my loupe. For a €2000 watch it is remarkable. How they done it? Crazy to noticed, all my watches came out the factory without any failure. I must be lucky. But i know there are watches w...

Depends on when you bought it...

Yep. Lucky i do not discovered imperfections on my watches.

Send it immediately...

I had an issue come up with my AP that I just got back after being fully serviced in which it fogged up after a swim. But since I went several months without it, I decided to wait before sending it in. After that, I got a few scratches and a ding on it, s...

Minor imperfection

 By: Weems@8 : December 15th, 2020-21:36
It is almost not visible. I would keep it. The watch can be superb for decades, only have a minor imperfection on the name plate does not mean it is useless. If it is the only watch with that imperfection? It have a working anti theft mark.

Had similar but someone opened watch before it was back in the factory.

Had to pay 700,- for the dial. You may add more money for an early service. Give it back asap.

Bring it back.

The problem is: now you know it's there.

It will catch your eyes often when you look at your watch. Your eyes will be drawn to it. I'd get it fixed. Cheers, John

I wud check my older pictures to see if it was always there. If its new then it cud lead more damage and needs ...

....to addressed asap. But if its factory then its your call - if you can part with it for certain duration or you don't mind paying for it when service is due.

Thanks for the advice

I will see what my AD thinks about this, but my plan will probably be to enjoy the watch a bit more and then send it off within warranty to have GP look at it. I hate to be one of "those guys", but I've learned that I often will regret it if I don't act o...

Happy GP owner

Just wanted to report that my watch returned from warranty service at GP and they completely fixed the minor scratch issue! Very happy to see that they take pride in their work and will fix even a very minor issue and strive for customer satisfaction. Wel...

Yes, GP repair your watch properly. I know how it’s feel as a watch is not 100 percent perfect. It’s rubbish. The stories of character, the stories about charm. I can not understand that crap. I want perfection at the highest standard. Not only a watch. T...

late reply!

Very late response here....I'm not 100% sure, but I believe they just (perfectly) touched up the dial rather than a replacement. Doesn't really matter to me either way and I'm just thrilled that they took the time to fix the issue (very quickly).
