Thanks, amanico. Good to get perspective from fellow aficionado’s. I’ve had a high regard for GP for over 30 years despite them not enjoying the attention some other brands receive, although I kind of like that they fly under most peoples radar. They hold their own against all the upscale names, including the holy trinity IMO! I briefly owned a Royal Oak and prefer the less industrial look & feel of the Laureato. The 1945 wears better than the Reverso I had and the WW.TC is altogether a nicer watch than the Master Compressor Geographic I had years ago. Some of the Vacheron’s, Patek’s and independents models may have an edge on finishing but arguably not by much, factor in price and the GP’s win by a length for me. They’re superior in most metrics to populist brands like Omega & Rolex (and I’ve had them too)! Man, all those watches….I’m an old guy!
