Girard Perregaux Vintage 45 70th Anniversary edition, Ref 25880.

I fell on someone, yesterday, which was wearing this watch, which I never saw in the metal, but which I discovered  with the press release, when it was unveiled, in 2015.

I am not a fan of two-tone watches, but here, I find it works quite nicely, adding to the watch a certain retro look, or enhancing it, to say it better.

It is limited to 100 pieces.

The dial is very much my taste, I must say, as the stunning case back, deliciously engraved.

To be honest, I would have preferred a smaller case. This one is the same than the Small Seconds, in terms of dimensions: 36, 20 x 35, 25, while I would have well seen a much smaller case, for a watch of this look.

I would also have been delighted to see a white enamel dial on that version.

Other than that, it is a really nice watch, which is even better in the metal than on pictures. Sadly I didn't have my camera with me, when I saw it...

Best,

Nicolas
