Escapement system
Hi all,
Back in 2008, GP introduced its in-house Microvar escapement system with a free sprung balance with what appears to be a variable inertia balance wheel. I recall it was introduced to their higher end models at the time which as their QPs. Does anyone know if this system is still being used?
In some of the 3 hander Laureatos, I can see what appears to be ETAchron regulators and an annular (smooth with no adjustment screws) balance wheel, where as in the Laureato skeleton, it doesn’t look like ETAchron or Mircovar but has what appears to be a free spring balance with a variable inertia balance wheel. And in their 1966 models, it appears to be a Triovis regulator with an annular wheel.
Grateful if someone can shed some light!
Many thanks,
Chi Kai
