Girard Perregaux

Certainly rare indeed, here is some info

Hi,

The GP Traveller you bought is a GMT derived version of the GP 7000 launched in 1987.

The GP 7000 was a chronograph, what the Traveller is not.

In fact the Traveller is closer to a GP Sea Hawk in appearance. The Sea Hawk was the diving (non chronograph) version of the 7000.

It appears in a promotional book made by GP in 1991, but in none of my catalogues. the picture I have is of a black dial, steel bezel version.

As it is the case with GP (or was till recently) the watch was probably produced in several versions of look.

The Sea Hawk appears in GP catalogs till the mid-nineties.

Regarding value I have no idea and we don't discuss such subject shere, as per forum rules.

Cheers

Dje
