I do like the black ceramic Laureato, it is light, carbon case to durable and a great matching style.

SIHH 2019 Novelty: Girard-Perregaux 1966 „Earth-to-Sky“ Edition

Friends, another report following this year’s SIHH. This year, the theme at the Girard-Perregaux was “Earth-to-Sky” with lots of stars and galaxies, even a Quasar was seen. The colour theme of “Earth-to-Sky” was mostly Blue and Black throughout the booth....

Don't know why but black could go as good daily beater

And, like you, I am not a lover of the black case. Put that dial into another version, and you have a winner. Very nice write up, CC.

Regarding the white text, it may have been more “stealth” with grey, but the white makes me think of stars against the dark sky, so I think it fits the theme perfectly.

As for the watch itself, I really like it. Not as a “1966” model, but as something different. Something sporty, cool and stealth, without the “bulk” of a “sports watch”. Clearly, there would be room in any collection a true 1966, with those beautiful lugs...
