Pricing Context

I've seen a lot of negative pricing comments both here and in other article comments but I wonder if people are only fixating on the quartz component?
I can't readily think of any all ceramic bracelet watches anywhere near this price point (excluding Rado perhaps but I don't compare that to GP). This is priced about 40% less than a Chanel J12 and less than half of some Hublot all ceramics.
I'm sure if this was all steel the price would be significantly less and people may have a different view, but I've always understood ceramic to be a very difficult and therefore pricey material to work with. Comments I've read in other articles suggest the GP finishing in this model is exceptional so for an all ceramic I don't get the pricing hate. I'm not saying its cheap, I just think in the context of other ceramic bracelet watches (which have fairly standard movements) it seems to be at the lower end.

the attempt may be futile due to a long waiting list and minimal allocation to Malaysia. Interestingly, the watch is available on the GP US website but one has to have it delivered to a USA address. Some may argue that this quartz watch is over priced but...

Crazy stuff!

Can’t deal with the fact you have to press to see the time….also can’t believe they’re sold out already?

Well timed move by GP.

There's a new interest for LED watches nowadays and also Hamilton has just reissued the Pulsar P2. I suspect that this very limited release could have been a massive success if they decided to use steel to reduce the price, instead of going with ceramic a...

What are we doing? I apologise upfront as I do not wish to offend anyone and to each their own...but really (sold out)? I can only assume that GP is slamming their heads on the table and thinking... why did we only charge 4,500 - we should have charged mo...

I like it! That’s a bold and also an exceptional reissue.

1) they are sold out which means people want different as well not just the typical mechanical watches, in my opinion this is art as well, although it’s not a daily watch for me. 2) price, in my opinion 5k for this watch is not a lot of money 1] because o...

yes it is limited, yes it is cool but I won't probably wear a quarz watch because I have some many gorgeous mechanical watches that need to be used... so I will probably pass I think.
