New 1966 Orion: it’s nice, but......

Why does GP insist on using such a small movement?  Haven’t they learned by now?  Is that their “thing”?   And if it does, why put a date that accentuates it?

Without the date the small movement would not be a real issue.

The date display is another “issue” that only we have a problem with.

There are a lot of watch enthusiasts out there who are not as "enthusiastic" as us. I have a friend who has a nice Breguet La Tradition and a JLC Perp who bought an IWC Le Petit Prince and not once did even notice how far off the date was from the 3'0 clo... 

But that bridge is a nice touch..
