Laureato
Wonderful thing about the watch world is the diversity of personal taste & style that makes it so interesting. I’ve owned two modern Laureato’s, black ceramic and Titanium/rose two tone (don’t anymore), but still prefer these and the Evo 3. There’s just something about the raised profile of the center links as opposed to the flat links of the current generation that add dimensional interest. And the flowing case lines of the Evo 3 rather than the sharper edges of the two I had imbue an organic sense that I can’t quite put into words. But that’s personal aesthetic appeal. I did like my two-tone Laureato but must say I was disappointed to learn the center links were not fully solid gold but partially hollow, not exactly thrilling for a watch around $20K at the time.
Very cool set Marc!
Thanks Jesse

If I was presented the opportunity for one in great condition like yours, It’d take a lot of restraint not to jump on it! But I do already have an Evo 3 and unlike you with multiples of a subset within a collection, I’m inclined toward a 1966, maybe a dua...
GP

Thanks, amanico. Good to get perspective from fellow aficionado’s. I’ve had a high regard for GP for over 30 years despite them not enjoying the attention some other brands receive, although I kind of like that they fly under most peoples radar. They hold...
Openwork

Yeah, that’s awfully pretty! Like it in the Laureato too, earth to sky but especially the rose gold version. I don’t know why but open-worked also seem to hold more stable pricing than some of the high complications, perpetual calendar, equation of time e...
